Ian Groves owns two pharmacies in County Down, Northern Ireland. In order to improve workflow and efficiency, he decided on the installation of a CONSIS.C robot from Willach in 2023. The aim of automating the pharmacy was to provide a better and faster service to customers and reduce the workload on staff. A major challenge was the limited space available in the back office, combined with the requirement to install a robot with a large storage capacity. The solution was a creative structural extension that allowed the robot to be placed in a central position between the dispensary and the retail area, so that walk-in customers with prescriptions could be served quickly and without long queues, according to the "Willach forward dispensing" concept.
